This photo, taken on the main ramp on the west side of Cam Ranh Bay
AFB, shows a C-141A (left) and C-5A (right) taken from under the wing of a lowly Caribou.
The C-5 was very new at the time and this was one of the very early C-5 missions to
Vietnam. The joke at the time was that a C-5 was the box a C-141 came in. |
