| Dalat Cam Ly was in the middle of the Central Highlands in an area
that to my eye was very beautiful. This was a high altitude (at least for a Caribou)
airport at 4931 feet above sea level. Even though the runway was longer than most at
4400 feet, the Bou had less than stellar performance at that altitude. Dalat Cam Ly
was the site of the Vietnamese National Military Academy. This photo was taken
during an approach from the north east. The runway is just visible at the far end of
the built-up area. |
