Bluestriped Grunt (Haemulon sciurus)
These docile little fish tend to school in groups of hundreds in and around coral
overhangs and other prtected areas. They are typically found in water depths of 10 - 50
feet and are usually less than a foot long, although they can grow to as large as 18
inches. They will allow a diver to swim through the school, gently parting to make way, if
the diver swims very slowly. |
