| In the finest tradition of the 535th TAS (and just about
every other flying unit), the last in-country sortie you flew was known as your "Fini
Flight". Your reward was a dousing with a fire hose immediately after climbing
out of the aircraft. In this picture, United States Air Force Captain John Fite is
being unceremoniously hosed down by A1C John K. Schuepbach. From his
humble beginning as the official "hoser" of the 535th,
John has gone on to become a Master Sergeant and squadron First Sergeant
as well as a 24-year veteran police officer. Beer and
champagne were enjoyed by all immediately after the ceremony. |
