I have been reliably informed that this UC-123K aircraft most likely belonged to the First Air Detachment based at Nha Trang.  It was flown in support of the Studies and Observation Group (SOG) in Saigon with a call sign of Whiskey Charlie.   For those who are interested, the book SOG: The Secret Wars of America's Commandos in Vietnam by John Plaster, has a great deal of information.
