Aircraft in Vietnam

C-5A

This photo, taken on the West ramp at Cam Ranh Bay, shows one of the first C-5 aircraft to land in Vietnam.  The C-5A was popularly known as "Fat Albert", or the "box the C-141 came in", although the former name was expressly prohibited by order of some General or another.  As you can see, I had the good sense to stay in the shade under the wing of my little Caribou while taking the picture.
