This photo, taken on the West ramp at Cam Ranh Bay, shows one of the
first C-5 aircraft to land in Vietnam. The C-5A was popularly known as "Fat
Albert", or the "box the C-141 came in", although the former name was
expressly prohibited by order of some General or another. As you can see, I had the
good sense to stay in the shade under the wing of my little Caribou while taking the
picture. |
