Aircraft in Vietnam

O-2A
The O-2, otherwise known as an "Oscar Deuce" was used for forward air control missions. I am reliably informed by Dave Cooley, LtCol, USAF (Ret) that this particular model is an O-2A. He goes on to state that "The A model was built as a forward air controller (FAC) at the Cessna factory.   It had a full complement of military avionics, seat, etc., and had the transparent door you see in the picture.   It also had hard points on the wings for WP rocket pods, used for marking targets for artillery or air strikes."   Photo taken at Pleiku.
