| The CH-47 Chinook was more commonly known in-country as the "Shit Hook", because it was used frequently to recover downed UH-1 Hueys. One often saw a Shit Hook flying along carrying a Huey via a cable attached to the Huey's rotor hub. Although I can no longer remember exactly where this picture was taken, the scenery would indicate somewhere in the Central Highlands. |
