| The AH-1, or "Cobra", was the high performance attack helicopter in Vietnam. Although not officially sanctioned for such maneuvers, I saw one pull a full loop down in the Delta. It sported a 7.62 mm minigun, visible below the nose in this picture. It also carried side pods for a variety of armaments from rockets to gatling guns. |
